DUNLOP RETURNS FOR THIRD INSTALLMENT OF 2018 SA BIKE FESTIVAL

The three-day entertainment festival, hosted by UK-based event organisers Clarion Events, is touted as SA’s biggest motorcycle-and-music lifestyle event, and is the only festival in the world where visitors can choose from over 60 motorcycles to ride on an international race circuit!

Once simply a rebel-branded category reserved for daredevils and fanatics, motorcycling has morphed into a highly competitive class of sport that embraces safety and has gained appeal with biking enthusiasts and the broader public alike.

“Biking culture is no longer the stuff of extremists – over time, it has permeated society and is a big part of youth culture at large – whether or not one owns a motorcycle. In recognising this, we have supported this festival since its inception three years ago,” says Yvette Govender, Marketing and Business Development Director at Sumitomo Rubber South Africa, manufactures of popular Dunlop brand.

Dunlop remains a favourite in the motorcycle fraternity - as is evident with pro-racers in the leagues of SA’s top-ranked Brad Binder and Mathew Scholtz – and the company is a proud manufacturer of high-endurance motorcycle tyres.

“Quality and safety on the road are the key fundamentals that underpin our manufacturing processes, and we believe that this ethos of safety will be continued through events such as the SA Bike Festival, which promote safe biking within a controlled environment,” says Yvette.

Spectators at the event can expect to see Dunlop take prime position with the following activations and activities at the event:

Dunlop’s exhibition stand E20 will be running a variety of competitions for all festival goers. This includes a digital scratch and win where instant prizes can be won with the ultimate prize being a set of Dunlop tyres (2 tyres) per day for the duration of the conference.
